Robert V. Hawn

Robert Hawn has advised innovative technology and start-up companies for over 25 years.  Bob represents wireless, internet, semiconductor, software and medical device industries, leading licensing, merger and acquisitions and private financing transactions.  His practice focuses predominantly on working with emerging technology companies throughout their life cycle, including initial start-up capitalization, angel and venture funding, technology development, distribution and transfer, and mergers and acquisitions.  In addition, he counsels multinational companies in their US. market entry activities.

Bob has published articles ranging from agreements concerning the Software as a Service, or SaaS, industry to recent high technology legislation.  He maintains an active speaking schedule, presenting seminars ranging from technology and internet related legal concerns, to California’s new corporations, to the use of Cayman Island entities in corporate structuring.

Outside his practice Attorney Hawn’s interests illustrate his love of the outdoors and music.  An avid mountain biker and jazz pianist, he has performed at various local venues and the San Jose Jazz Festival and remains devoted to his Silicon Valley community.  Bob currently resides in San Jose with his wife.
