In 2018 I found myself the victim of fraud at the hands of an unlicensed contractor who was unlawfully using the valid license of a relative. We went up against the contractor’s insurer who basically ignored us and tried to avoid paying my claim by saying its client didn’t know anything about the unlicensed contractor’s activities. This is were Steven stood out. He got the insurance company’s attention. He went to court and had a judge compel them to answer. In the course of our discovery we learned that the contractor did indeed have knowledge of the unlicensed contractor’s activities and he knew that person was using his license. The insurer subsequently settled for the damage that the unlicensed contractor had done. And it was a handsome settlement. Had Steven and his team not persevered and pursued my claim aggressively, it would have fallen by the wayside.

We had a real estate dispute with a property we owned in South Lake Tahoe and we needed an attorney who specialized in real estate. He was highly recommended by a number of people we knew , which turned out to be correct. He was kind, personable, always available, promptly returning messages, emails and calls.
